meeting at 5:00 p.m. at the City Administration Building 387 Fairhope Avenue

"hose members present: Leona Neraman, E.J. lark, Ted Bennett, James
P. Nix, Jack Stipes, Pierce Frederick, Cecil Pitman, Roy White
Mrs. Newman, Vice -Chairman called the meeting to order and asked if there
were any additions or corrections to the November 5 1979 minutes. There
were none voiced and on motion by Pierce Frederick, seconded by Jack Kirk
the17 were unanimo Ily approved.
A discussion of the Sunset Mobile Nome Village was on the agenda but Larry
Chason called and asked that this be carried over as their plans were not
complete.
Mr. Clifford Street and Flay Johnson came before the Commission to discuss
any problems that might occur if the Silverhill Farmers Assoc. moved their
store to a new location and built a warehouse to hold bulk fertilizer.
The site was about four acres on Middle Street behind the Poser building.
The property is already zoned for this type of business so there is no
problem there. A discussion followed on whether' or not the bulgy: fertilizer
a problem with the neighbors, the size building planned and the parking
area needed to handle the business and fertilizer warehouse. They were
advised to proceed with their plans and present same when they were complete
for Commission's review7 and approval.
Mr. Pruitt brought -out that in planning to make a reprint of the zoning
ordinance he noticed that an amendment introduced at the November 1977
Planning meeting that would clarify off-street parking and landscaping
requirements was not adopted or passed on to the City Council for their
approval. Fie stated that he wished to have this reconsidered as it did
help clarify the Zoning Ordinance. The secretary was asked to research
this and inform the , Conrnission at the next meeting so this could he acted
on.
The election of officers was carried over until the January meeting.
There being no further business to dicuss at this tune meeting was duly
adjourned.
