AIRPORT BOARD
June 25, 1963
Members present: Dr. Mullins, Mr. Lacey, and Hr. Byrne
Guests: Mr. Barfield, Mr. Hoore, and hr. Herndon
Dr. Mullins reviewed results of the City Council Meeting and
discussed the changes that were made in the Project Application.
A discussion followed concerning Mr. Moore's preparation of
the Tabulation of Bids. Mr. Moore submitted a letter covering
the bid recommendation.
The resolution was discussed concerning the money to be obtained
by the City of Fairhope from F44.
The Board declared Mr. Moore's tabulation acceptable and in
order, and recommended thit the law bid of Williams � Router
for `168,167.52, be accepted. The motion was made t 7at the bids
be accepted and awarded to the low bidder. It was seconded,
and carried.
Dr. Mullins asked that letters be sent to Mr. Yeager ane Mr.
Rountree notif ingg them of the Bid Acceptance. These letters
were typed andsubmittedto Dr. Mullins for signature.
Mr. Barfield asked for a conv of Mr. Moore's letter recommen-
ding the low bidder. He also asked for a copy of the supple-
mental agreement of Byrd L. Moore & Co., and a copy of Dixie
Laboratories' contract for the testing.
Mr. Barfield stated that Dixie Laboratories' contract was
acceptable to the FAA.
Dr. Mullins suggested that a file be started for Base Operator
information.
Mr. Moore confirmed the fact that he was to submit an addi-
tional -bill to the board for his services.
Dr. Mullins asked for a col y of the Grant Offer agree^7ont.
Mr. Barfield discussed the airport at Brookhaven--40 miles
directly south of Jackson --as being very similar to ours.
The meeting was adjourned.
