HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-07-2008 Planning Commission MinutesThe Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Fairhope met Monday, July 7, 2008 at the City Administration Building in the City Council Chambers. Present: Dick Charles, Vice-Chair; Dan McCrory, Bob Clark, Fran Slade, Lee Turner, Bob Gentle. Gregg Mims, City Planner, Jonathan Smith, Asst Planner, Betty Rivenbark, Secretary. Absent: Tim Kant, Gary Moore, Jean Wilson The minutes of the June 2, 2008 meeting were duly considered and approved on motion by Bob Clark, 2nd by Bob Gentle and unanimously carried. Vice-Chair Charles announced the following: ZC08-06 Request of Charles Leon Saltz was withdrawn ZC08-07 Request of Dennis Frodsham of Coldwell Banker Reehl Properties was withdrawn SD05-15 Preliminary Plat approval extension of Sedgefield Subdivision, Phase II. The propert;y is generally located on the east side of County Road 13, just north of Twin Beech Road. Jonathan Smith gave the staff report saying that Sedgefield subdivision was granted preliminary approval in May of 2005 and the subdivision regulations state that if a final plat is not submitted within two years or less of preliminary plat approval the preliminary plat approval will expire. On July 2, 2007 the Planning Commission granted a one year extension of this same subdivision. Sedgefield Phase I final plat approval was given on April 3, 2006. He said the drainage calculations and drainage plans have been reviewed and meet the new stormwater provisions in the Subdivision Regulations. John Pickens of EDS was present to answer any questions. There were none. Staff recommended a one year extension of the preliminary plat. Lee Turner moved to approve staff recommendation for one year extension.
