City A'dtflinistration Building Present:Chairman Parker, members Arnold, Box, Frederick, Kirk, Macon. Absent: Members Bung, Gates, Pitman Visitor: Harmon Stearns, buiding Inspector In absence of secretary, Mr. Parker served. Purpose of meeting: I. Eastern Shores Shopping Center build- ing permit; II.Discussion of proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance 295. I. Following review of plans, Mr. Stearns, building inspector, was given authority to proceed with issuance of building per- mit to Liles Construction Company based on plans and specifi- cations provided to the City of Fairhope by Liles Construction Company with the following stipulations: 1. Shopping Center's north wall must be fifteen feet or more south of the north property line 2. Along entire south boundary of shopping center there shall be maintained the indicated fourteen foot wide planting strip with the type of shrubbery stipulated by the city plan-ning consultant. 3. Along the 376 foot frontage on Greeno Road, the number of entrance points on to the road right of way and traffic flow direction at each such point shall be in accordance with arrange- ments worked out between the City of Fairhope and the recommen- dations of the State Highway Department, II. Amendments to Zoning Ordinance 295 proposed by Mayor Macon and City Attorney John Duck, providing for addition of R-5 zone for trailer courts and procedure for action on non -conforming lots in R-1, R-29 R-31 zones. Following discussion the Commis- sion voiced approval and requested adoption by the City Council of the proposed amendments. There being no further business meeting adjourned. I 0
