Meeting was called to order by Chairman Parker. Members present were:
Macon, Box, Pitman, Kirk, Bung, Arnold, Consultant Bateman and George.
Public hearing on rezoning certain lands from R-1 to R-3. Chairman Parker
called on Fred Smith to explain his reason for requesting such rezoning.
Mr. Vick requested subject property on Church Street (see attachment) be
rezoned from R-2 to B-1. Motion by Macon, seconded by Arnold to present
for advertising. Unanimously ordered. vtc,�2Se«

Emperor Clock Company requested permission for construction of bu�din�
according to plat attached. Unanimously ordered.
Major Homes presented utility plans. Commission deferred action until
installation is complete and acceptable to City engineer.
Malcolm property request for Unit 1, Lots 1, 2, 3 be received as acceptable
Subdivision. Motion by Box, seconded by Macon that Malcolm property lots
1, 2, & 3 (not 4) Subdivision be given preliminary approval. Final
approval subject to subdivider paying for utility arrangements with City
engineer. Motion passed. Arnold abstained.
Application from Fred Ingersoll (presented by Ack Moore) for establish-
ing zoning requirements of subject property filed herewith. Motion by
Box, seconded by Macon to advertise the 65 acres for B-2. Motion passed
unanimously.
Motion by Macon, seconded by Arnold that the commission recommend to
City Council Smith property rezoning from R-2 to R-3. Passed unanimously.
Minor survey changes on Pitman Park Terrace Unit Four were approved by
consultant Bob George and commission. These changes consisted of lot
line shifting on lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 to accommodate a previous en-
gineering error.
Owing to the large public delegation in attendance which opposed ad-
vertised rezoning, the commission dropped its considerations on the large
area involved. No one present voted against Smith request heretofore
mentioned and approved. The delegation voted unanimously against the
large area rezoning.
