Absent, members Arnold, Kirk. Visitors: Mr. Bateman, Dyson, Ford, Fleming, Stimson, Gabel, Corte, Schneider, Cummings, Gregorius. Minutes of previous meeting approved as read. OLD BUSINESS: Mr. Parker reported that the Lutherna Church would provide 53 off- street parking spaces for their new building. FAIRw00D #16: Letter from Mr. Bateman, Planning Consultant, was read and discussed point by point. 14)OX I Motion by Mr. Pitman, seconded by Mr. Macon, that all items in the letter be waived except point 3 "cul de sac to be provided in street adjacent to lots 246-247; point 6" a 15 foot drainage easement is desirable along each side of lots 241-246; Point 7" a 5' easement was providdd in Fairwood #7 adjacent to S. Side of lots 252.-253, an addition of 10' should be provided along south line of lots 252-253 and the tot al 15' easement provided along south side of lot 251";•that utilities and sanitary facilities be installed and that final approval be given Fairwood #16 subject to the above con- ditions. Motion carried unanimously. ` Mr. M. P. Dial Jr., rezoning request of 131 Acres on South Greeno Road was considered'next. Following discussion, Motion by Mr. Box, seconded by Mr. Gates that action be deferred until further legal counsel is obtained. Motion carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: Mike Ford, as agent for Mrs. H. West requested rezoning from R-1 to B-1, lot 12, Block 3, Oswalt Subdivision. Motion by Mr. Macon, seconded by Mr. Pitman that the Fairhope Planning and Zoning Commission recommend to the City Council the rezoning from R-1 to B-19 Lot 129 Block 3, Oswalt Subdivision, said lot being immediately south and adjoining the South Central Bell property on South Section St., motion carried unanimously. Mike Ford as repoesentative for A. F. Fleming presented subdivision plat of his Fairhope Single Tax Corporation leasehold on Morphy Avenue. After examination of plat, Mr. Fleming withdrew his application until minor changes could be made on drawing. Mr. Parker distributed reprints of articles of interest to commission members. .41 rJ Mr. Dyson requested advice on lot sizes of Gooden Subdivision approved in 1955. He was advised that in order to increase the size of lots, a s re -subdivision application must be submitted to the commission. There being no further business the meeting adjourned. Eloise T.
