Fairhope Planning and Zoning Commission Regular and Public meeting Monday, June5, 1967 r City Hall 5-:00 P.M. Present: Chm. Fredericks, members Bagnell, Pitman, Niemeyer, Bung, Rates, Macon. Absent: members Spader,Arnbld. Visitors: Mr. Mossholder, Dyson, Brown, Corte, Wilson, Cummings, Ford, Bradford, Lauten , and approximately 40 interested property owners* Minutes of previous meeting approved as read. Mrs. Evans, speaking for severallowkners, thought multiple dwellings would depreciate values of adjacent homes, also was concerned about rear yard and parking area present- ing unsightly view. Mr. Sanders stated he had no objections if DeFerriett Court was left as a cul-de-sac abd entrance to apart- ments be made on Mobile Avenue. Mr. Jones, Bagley, Weldon, property owners on the west side of the highway, spoke in opposition. Mrs. Thames, Stapleton and Mr. Wyllie spoke in favor. Mr. Ford, realtor, said County Board of Health had approved septic tank for the first 2-acre units, that owner would maintain the groinds, and Fairhope needed tourist accomodations of this type. Plat of Fairwood # 12 was presented by Wilson -Cummings -Thomas for approvallmotion by Mr. Pitman seconded by Mr. Macon that the Fairhope Planning and Zoning Commission approve the Plat of Fair - wood #12 Subdivision. Motion by Mrs. Gates, seconded by Mr. Maconthat Zoning Ordinance 295, Article ?, Section 72 , 82 Minimum Lot Size , be amended by the ad- dib on of the following: "unless adjudged impracticable under existent conditions." Motion carried unanomously. Chairman Frederick left at this point, relinquished the chair to Mr. Pitman. , Motion by Mn Macon, seconded by Mr. Bagnell that the Fairhope Plan- ning and Zoning Commission recommend tb the City Council the rezoning to R-3 that part of Parcel D, described below, now zoned R-2. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr: Macon, seconded by Mr. Bagnell that Fairhope Planning and Zoning Commission recommend to the City Council the rezoning from R-1 to R-3, the property in police jurisdiction described below: Voting aye; members Bagnell, Niemeyer, Bung, Macon.
