Absent: Members Pitman, Spader Visitors: Mr. Bateman, Glover, Dyson, Mitchell. Minutes of previous meeting approved as read. Old Business: Walter Poser not being present, no action was taken on his rezoning application. New Business: Percy Dale application -to res .ty located on Southwesxt as follows: Motion by Mr. Arnold, seoonded by Mr. Gates that the ap- plication of Percy Dale to subdivide property described above be denied as not conforming to subdivision regula tions. Motion carried unanimously. Boting Aye: Members Macon, Gates, Voting Nay: Member Arnold. Motion carried :%�)hn Glover of Bay Nautical presented rough draft of loca- tion of proposed hhed to be built on North Section Street between/Willer and Volanta Avenues, following discussion, ac- tion was tabled until December 16th meeting. LUT ION +` WHEREAS, the Fairhope City Planning Commission is obligated to administer to the City Planning Program for the entire City of Fairhope, and WHEREAS, Revenue to the City can be increased through ad- ditional retail sales, and WHEREAS, industrial development will increase basic emfoy- ment in the labor force, and WHEREAS, Industrial promotion is a necessary part of im- proving the economic base structure of the community and balancing the economy, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission sincerely believes that additonal industry is necessary for the betterment of the community, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission that the Mayor and Council acquire necessary acreage and develop an in- dustrial park per se' as expeditiously as possible.
