HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-06-1966 Regular MeetingFAIRHOPE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION FRIDAY, MAY _69 1966 4:00 p.m., CITY HALL, FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA Present: chairman Frederick, Members, Bung, Bagnell, Niemeyer, Macon, Pitman and Spader. Absent: Members Arnold. Visitors: Mr. Bateman, Dyson and Yobn. Minutesx of previous meeting approved as read. Old business: A. M. Gates application of resubdivision of Fairhaven #1 examined and discussed; plat to be returned to Mr. Gates for additional information required as listed below: (1 Names and addresses of surrounding property owners. 2 Right of way width. (3 Pavement width. 4 Grades and vertical curves. �5 Existing easement 5' on Park Terrace Subdivision. 61 Set back lines (R-2 requirements 35' front, 40' rear, 10' sides). I7 Block A. lots 1 & 29 Block B. Lots 1,213.4. 8 Date of survey. 9 Location of sewer, gas, water lines, size of pipes. 10 Name Fairhaven resembles Fairhope St. ll Restrictions, if any, not attached. Secretary instructed to in the future send copy of prelimin- ary subdivision plats to City engineer for checking grade lines, utilities, etc. New Business: Application of Charles C. Allen to enlarge building located at 21 South Section Street, submitted by Building Inspector. Motion by Mr. Pitman, seconded by Mr. Bung that the Planning Commission express approval of above application as submitted. Motion carried. Mr. Bateman showed copies of new codes recently adopted by the City Council and outlined procedures for substandard housing inspe-ction. Building Inspector was instructed to draw up rough housing inspection map to be turned over to Mr. Bateman for final drafting. 0 U lk Motion by Mr. Bagnell, seconded by Mr. Niemeyer that the Planning Commission instigate and sdvertise for Public hearing the rezoning from B-3 to R-3, that area depicted on the 1961 Zoning map at B-3. Except that the west boun- dary running North and South on Summit Street shall be ex- tended to the present north boundary near Atkinson Lane; that said advertising for public hearing be done by map of area included and not by property description. motion carried. Plat plan for Gaston motor Company examined and approved. Motion by Mr. Macon, seconded by Mr. Bung that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried. ;,,`Eloise T. Wilson, Secty.
