Absent: Member Macon. Visitors: Mr. Bateman, Mr. and Mrs. Kuhlman, Mrs. Kamper, Mr. Brown, Ford, Dyson, Yohn. Minutes of previous meeting approved as read. i Old Business: Fairhope Single Tax -Corporation request to rezone from o-B-2--th® foblowing-deaorlbed1 property : Above application includes the request of Lloyd Vick for similar rezoning of his leasehold at 306 Delmar Street. There being no ®pp&sition; motion by Mr. Pitman, seconded by Mr. Bung that the Fairhope Planning and Zoning Commission re- commend to the City Council the rezoning from R-2 to B-2 the above described property. Motion carried unanimously. New Business: Request of G. L. Kuhlman to rezone from R-1 to R-3 lots 19 & 20 & 21, Block 29 Fairland Heights Subdivision. Motion by Mr. Niemeyer, seconded by Mr. Arnold'that the above rezoning application be accepted for advertising for public hearing. Motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Kamper presented a letter from John 0. Hofbauer, New Orleans, in which he requested rezoning to B-3 of parte�'Par- eel "D", T. H. and Mary Lou Brown tract located on ism£ side of South Mobile Avenue; also requested certain changes in re- gulations covering Mobile Home Parks. Thomas Brown, owner of land presented applications for said rezoning. Motion by Mr. Pitman, seconded by Mr. Gates that the appli- oat1ot of Thomas H. Motion carried unanimously. The secretary was instructed to write Mr. Hofbauar explaining rezoning procedure and assuring him of all possible cooperation in his proposed venture. Motion by Dr. Stine, seconded by Mr. Pitman that the Planning Commission recommend to the City Council the marking of left turn lanes at the intersection of Fairhope Avenue and Section Streets; they further recommended that a left turn traffic signal be installed at this corner when possible. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Bateman called to the attention of the Commission his list of recommended parking spaces requirements for new structures. Discussion on this list was tabled until January meeting. Mike Ford representing Donald Olds, presented application to rezone from R-2 to R-39 lots 5 and S i of lot 49 block 7, Volanta Subdivision. Motion by Mr. Arnold, seconded by Mr. Gates that the rezoning application of Donald Olds as described above be accepted for advertising for public hearing. Motion carried unanimously. The commission approved application of Western Lumber addition to building located at 511 Fairhope Avenue. There being no further business, meeting adjourned.
