HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-08-1965 Regular MeetingEl City Hall - 4: 00 P. M. Present: Chairman Woolley, members Bagnell, Macon, Bung, Stipes, Fredericks, Gates. Absent: Mr. Pitman. Visitors: Mr. Bateman, Cummings, Stewart, Ingram. Walter Wilson, Todd, Yohn, Dyson, Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved as read. Attention of Board was called to Council action on December 11, 1964 in which appointments to Planning Commission. of Amon Gates and Floyd Bung were corrected to "six year terms each." Mr. Frederick, Chairman of Greeno Road Committee reported on meeting of property owners held December 15, 1964. Copy of report placed on file. OLD BUSINESS: John Huffman, Agent for John C. Glover requested rezoninj of Lots 22, 23, 24 block 5, Volanta from k-2 to B-9. Following discussion re -zoning changed to M-9. Motion b Mr. Stipes seconded by Mr. Niemeyer, that the application of John Glover as amended be accepted fof advertising for public hearing. Motion carried unanimously. NnAl BUS I NESS: Request of W. R. Todd to rezone from R-1 to B-3 - 589' on Fast side of Greeno Road, north of Morphy Avenue. Motion by Mr. Macon, seconded by Mr. Stipes that the rezoning request of W. R. Todd be accepted for advertising. Mr. Bateman suggested a change in rezoning request; thereupon motiont second and application were withdrawn. Walter Wilson red with re t for Ik -2- Motion by Mr. Niemeyer seconded by Mr. Bung that the Lee Parker rezoning request be accepted for advertising for public hearing. Motion carried unanimously. Chairman quoted in part Section 790 on page 9 of Enabling Act "The Commission may also contract with City planners, etc." and "The expenditures of the Commission . . .shall bewithin ��the amounts appropriated for the purpose by the Council. . . Motion by Mr. Bung, seconded by Dr. Frederick that the Planning Commission requ��_est the City Council to appropriate one thousand dollars ('9,UW.00) for the expenditures of the Commission.
