FAIRHOPE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION

Present: Chairman Woolley, Members Bung Schneider, Kirk, Pitman.
Absent: Members Dyson, Poser, Gaston, Frederick.
Visitors: Mr. Billie, Arnold, Sandt, G. Dyson, Yohn, Byrne, Green.
Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved as read.
OLD BUSINESS:
Charbon Woods: Motion by Mr. Pitman, seconded by Mr. Bung, that
final approval be given to Charbon Woods - a resubdivision of Lot
D, map book 3, page 118, Forbes Grant Sec. 7, T6S, R2E, Baldwin
County, Alabama, subject to approval by George Dyson. Motion carried.
Nahrgang rezoning: Mr. Yohn reported no progress on this matter.
Mr. Nahrgang was not present at this meeting.
Mr. Chester Billie appeared requesting permission for change in
'Washington Drive West Colonial Acres, as platted and given prelimi-
nary approval in 1957. Motion by Mr. Schneider, seconded by Mr.
Kirk that,. waiving strict compliance to reggulations in order to
expedite inclusion of Washington Drive West in present paving venture,
ppreliminary approval be given to requested change in 'Washington Drive
V/est. Motion carried.
N&I BUSINESS:
S. A. Sandt appeared concerning subdivision of one lot with two
existing houses. Chairman advised Mr. Sandt to go before the Board
of Zonin Ad,�ustment with this request, .and, if approved, to return
to the Piannzng and Zoning Commission.ka,th proper plat for final
approval of the subdivision.
Robert Green wishing to renlarg� hi.s nursery on Greeno Road, an
existing non -conforming use, was advised also to appear before the
Adjustment Board seeking a variance, in preference to applying to
Zoning Board for re -zoning.
Mr. Bateman's proposal re Major Street/ Plans, etc. was discussed
and tabled for further study.
The Planning and Zoning Commission went on record as recommending
to the City Council that the minimum set back for buildings on
Greeno Blvd. be 50 feet from the property line.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. Next
regular meeting will be November 9, 1963.
