Present: Chairman Woolley, Members Pitman, Dyson, Schneider,
Kirk, and Gaston. --
Absent: Members Bung, Poser, and Frederick.
Visitors: Mr. Bateman, Byrne, Duck, Arnold, Yohn, G. Dyson,
Rickarby, and about 26 citizens interested in the
Billboard Ordinance.
OLD BUSINESS:
No Committee Reports.
Billboard Ordinance
Representatives of the Wisteria Garden Club, Fairhope Garden
Club, Fairwood Garden Club, 8th District of Alabama Federation
of Garden Clubs, Nature Council, Conservation Committee,
Eastern Shore Art Association, appeared in favor; no opposition
present.
Motion by Mr.

John Duck, representing L. J. Littleton presented plat of
proposed extension of Kirkman Lane to provide access to
Littleton property.
Motion by Mr. Pitman, seconded by Mr.. Schneider, that the
Fairhope Planning and Zoning Commission approve the submitted
platted location of extension of Kirkman Lane East of Section
Street to the East boundary of Fairhope Single Tax Colony
lands thereon, providing that at the terminus of the road a
cul-de-sac be located. Motion carried unanimously.
Claude Arnold presented for final approval James T. Bos'
Subdivision, the N. 132' of lot 11 and S. 249' of lot U in
John M. Green's Subdivision of W. /2 of NE A of Sec. 17, T6S
b.
R2E, lands of Mrs. Julia M. Boggs. Motion by Mr. Dyson,
seconded by Mr. Pitman that final approval be given the
above described subdivision. Motion carried unanimously.
Chairman announced that B-3 Regulations of Article 7 District
Requirements Section 72 had been omitted from the recently
adopted Zoning Ordinance.
Motion by Mr. Pitman, seconded by Mr. Kirk that B-3 regula-
tions be accepted for advertising for public hearing. Motion
carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Dyson, seconded by Mr. Gaston that the Fairhope
Planning and Zoning Commission go on record as recommending
to the City Council that in the near future a study be made
on sources of water supply for the City of Fairhope. Motion
carried unanimously.
Mr. Bateman spoke on the need for overall planning for the
future; was asked to present written recommendations.
Next meeting September 6, 1963.
