This being the time to select a new chairman, bir. Tooley ap-
pointed Gaston temnor•ary chairman. I.'r. Bung nominated
Mr. 0►oolley for chairman? Mr. Frederick seconded and moved
that the nominations be closed. T.`otion carried, and Mr. uoolley
was re-elected chairman unanimously.
Old Business:
(1) .Application of Ivalter diilson and :.:att Dial to rezone from
requesting rezoning from R-2 to B-1--all of blocks 1, 29 37
Hoyer-Worcester addition to Fairhope, as recorded in Map Book 1,
page 1, Baldwin County records, this area being the NW--nd SVI
corners of Nichols Street and Greeno Blvd. No public opposition
appeared before commission.
(2) Application of City of Fairhope to rezone from R-1 to IdI-1
City property on S. Section Street as delineated on attached sketch
and described on City deed. 14o public opposition.
(3) .Application of Floyd Bung to rezone from R-1 to I;4-1, Block 53
Fagnolist/Beach Addition to City of Fairhope. Mrs. Mathis ob-
jected if proposed laundry mat is to be for colored. After hearing
from all visitors interested in the ebove rezonings the visitors
were dismissed.
Report from Committee on acquisition of Auffles' property adjacent
on :'orth of City :call was read in which the ecommiended the said
requisition. L
I.:otion by '.r. Poser, seconded by LZr. Bung, that the Planning
Boning Commission accept the recomr.,iendation of the Committee and
that the City carry out this recommendation and further moved that
the City make necessary plans to proceed with the construction of
a new city hall on this site as soon as land is acquired.. Voting
aye: 'embers Frederick, Poser, Bung, anc Schneider. T,:ember Gaston
not voting.
New Business:
IV:rs . baker Brownell read and -olacc d on file letter relating to
Bill -boards. :,.otion by :-r. Moser, seconded by i.:r. Schneider, that
the Planning Board recommend to the City Council than it reconsider
the proposed bill boarry ordinance. Voting aye: T"embers Poser,
and Schneider. Voting nay: :.:embers -Du.--&, Frederick and Gaston.
:.:otion defeated. C11--irman turned over proposed bill board ordin-
ance to Mr. Bateman for recommendations at the next rf.eeting.

the rezoning of Block 53 L-'agnolis Beach addition as submitted
in :Jr. Bung's application. j"otion carried --Mr. Bung not voting.

Planning; and Zoning Commission recommend to the City Council the
rejectioq of application for rezoning by 1.. 1�ilson and Eatt Dial
based on the farthat-this rezoning would tend to move the busi-
ness area�"veWt-►0: ureeno lvd. which is predominantly residential.
