Present: Chairman Woolley, members Schneider, Kirk, Pitman, Nelson,
Frederick
Absent: Members Gaston, Malone, Dyson
Visitors: Messrs.Byrne, Mason, Huffman, Rickarby, Mossholder,
Paegelow, Lacey, Megginson.
Minutes of previous regular and special meetings were read and ap-
proved as read.
Old Business:
Section Street alley committee: In the absece-of Mr. Dyson, chair-
man of this committee, Mr. Pitman suggested. that Nor. Dyson be
requested to Ball a-mee ting of this committee with Mr. Woolley,
Mayor Schneider and Mr. C. A,. Gaston invited to attend. The secre-
tary was instructed to request by letter that the Chairman call
this m eting.
.hiai man Woolley read two letters received from the City of rairhope
(1) requesting the Planning Commission to evaluate the street
renumbering plan of Mr. Paegelow in comparison with the system
now in effect and make recommedations to the City g6uncil
(2) Quoting a resolution of the City Council turning over to
the Planning and Zoning Commission the Municipal Building Program
requesting recommecations as to necessary public buildings, sites,
and priority schedula, and authorizing not more than �2,000.00
for this study.
Mr. Paegelow explained his numbering system as starting at a focal
point such as intersection of Section Street and Fairhope Ave.,
numbering one hundred to a block, working east and west and north
and south. General discussion followed with no'decision reached.
Municipal Building Program was discussed.
Motion by Mr. Nelson, seconded by Mr. Kirk, that in response to the
City Councils request for recommendations on the Municipal Building
Program the Planning Commission as approve as the number one prior-
ity the building of a city garage. Motion died for lack of a iq
quorum present.
Mr. E. M. Megginson requested instructions on procedure for rezon-
ing a piece of property and the secretary was directed to advise
him of same.
