Present: Chairman Woolley, Nelson, Frederick, Schneider, Pitman, Kirk.
.Absent: Members Gaston, Malone, Dyson.
Visitors: Mrs. C. A. Ellis, Miss Betty Ellis, Mr, Robert Bateman,
F. A. Paegelow
The minutes were read and approved as read.
There was no old business.
New Business:
Mrs. C. A. Ellis appeared before the Commission with a sketek
showing lots 7 & 8 , Block E, Volanta Subdivision, to which,
she claims there is no access road. After discussion, the Chair-
man advised Mrs. Ellis that the City's outside superintendent
would direct a preliminary survey to determii3e the most feasible
access and estimated cost of same.
Motion by Mr. Nelson, seconded by 4r. Frederick, that the Fairhope
Planning and Zoning X Commission recommend to the City Council
that all garbage and rubbish collected by the City be used for
fills for soil conservation in method similar to that used on
Elementary School grounds. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. F.A. Paegelow, 401 Boone Lane, requested permission to
operate business from his home. His attention was directed to
Section 36.10 " Home Occupation" in the Zoning Ordinance and
advised that permission was granted provided he complied with
regulations in this Section.
Letter from the City of Fairhope to Claude &nsen, president Cham-
ber of Commerce, relative to the airfield projject,•in which
the City Council turned over to the Planning Commbsion this
project and set up ,a Committee headed by Dr. H. C. Mullins
to work with the Gommission. The secretary was�instructed
to write Dr. Mullins offering all assistance pos§§ible to his Commit-
tee and awaiting their pleasure.
Motion by Mr. Pitman, seconded by Mr. Schneider, that in the
revised Subdivision regulations, page 21, Art. lei, Sec. B, par. C,
1kat there be inserted " within city limits" of ter"minimum
standards" and " in the police Zurisdiction but outside city
limits" after " can be omitted". Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Nelson, seconded by Mr. Pitman that the revised
Zaaiaaxeadima:aan Subdivision kegulations and the Proposed Zoning
and Mobile Home Park Ordindb a be accepted as corrected. Motion ga
carried unanimously.
Mr. Richard Lacey having failed to appear relative to the
Stradling property in Magnolia Beach, the chairman deferred action
on same until a future date.
