FAIRHOPE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING FRIDAY,'MAY
1962 4:OOP.M.
Present: Chm. Woolley, members Dyson, Pitman, Schneider, Frederick,
Kirk,
Absent: Gaston, Malone, Nelson
Visitors: John Huffman, Robert Bales, Claude Arnold, P. J. Byrne,
Robt. Bateman, Elliott Rickarby, Richard Lacey.
The minutes of the previous meetings were approved as read.
May 1962 being the time for election of a chairman, motion by Mr.
Schneider, seconded by Mr. Pitman, that Mr. Woolley be appointed
as chairman. Motion carried unanimously.
There was no old business.
New Business: Claude Arnold presented for the Fairhope Single Tax
Colony, the subdivision of lot 1, block 3, of the Golf Course Sub-
division as recoded in Map book 4 page 191, Bay Minette.
Motion by Mr. Dyson, seconded by br. Frederick, that approval, both
pr9liminarty and final, be given to this subdivision, provided it
meets all requirements. Motion carried.
John Huffman appeared before the Commission seeking information and
advice on a proposed subdivision of the Monroe Smith property in Volanta
area.
Richard Lacey submitted an application for the resubdivision of lot
4 of block 45/'46, Magnolia Beach, as recorded in Map Book 4, page 147,
may Minette, the harry Stradling property on Church Street between
Kirkman Lane and Pier Street.
Motion by kr. Pit4an, seconded by 14r. Frederick, that the Commission
postpone action on this resubdivision until the next regular meeting
to allow time for Mr. Stradling's attorney to explore possibility of
straightening out jog in Summit "treet. Motion carried unanimously.
