There was no old business':
New Business.
Claude Arnold presented application and preliminayy plans for re -
subdivision of W. F. Laratrray leasehold with F.S.T.C. located on
Morphy Avenue between I•'ershon and Ettles Streets, originally sub-
divided Sept. 17, 1953•
Y-otion by Mr. Nelson, seconded by Yr. Dyson, that rrsubdivision of
T', . F. Lp raway leasehold be approved provided 50 feet instead of
40 feet be committed for Laraway Lane and that standard 50 ft.
radius cul de sac be included, with the further understanding that
the cul de sac be abandoned if and when street goes through to another
street intersection. Motion carried unanimously.
setter from L. D. Littleton to the City Council requesting the
opening of Kirkman Lane on the east side of Sectiir street was
referred t o the Planning Commission for recommendations. Motion
by TJr. Frederick, seconded by Per. 11alone , that the letter be re-
turned to the Council with an opinion from City Attorney Rickarby
as to legal procedure available to attain access and to recom-
mend this procedure in Future instances.
Letter from Yr. Byrne, Business Administrator, attached to build-
ing permit application from E. B. Gwin of Bedsoles, Inc., said
application rejected by City building Inspector and referred to
City Council. Planning Commission referredthe application to the
Fairhope Board of Zoning Adjustment and went on record that any
future construction not approved by the building inspector should
be enjoined and construction stopped forthwith until a decision
has been rendered by the Adjustment Board, or trp Circuit Court,
or a hiorer court.
L. I. Boone, acting for the i-cme Investment Corporation, submitted
an application and prelmminary plans for resubdivisi.on of Last
52 ft. of lot 5 and lots 6 and 7, block 21, Volanta Place, as
rPscribed and recorded in Miscellaneous book 1, page -�41, to

Robert Bateman presented lot and block reap for approval. I'ap
ommittee chairman L. I. Boone praised Claude Arnold for the
assistance given the committee and suggested that the Planning
Commission recommend to the City Council that I.7r. Arnold be addi-
tionally compensateCfgB for this service.

Commission recommend to the City Council that 1Z`r. Arnold be addi.-
tionally compensated for the assistance b v2n the i."ap Committee.

and block map prepared by Robt. S.eateran and Associates be
approved subject to corrections listed and final approval of Claude
Arnold. ".potion carried unanimously.

Chairman "oolley elistributed copies of the proposed revisions of
the Zoning Ordinance and the sub -division regulations,! and stated
that special meeting will be celled for consideration of these
after time for stud;, had been given to the members. The secretary
was instructed to nctify Br. C. A. Gaston, L. I. Boone and Olaude
Arnold of this meeting.
