The minutes of the the previous meeting were approved as corrected:
changing the xegassting " Be M. Bailey requesting the Commission to
rezone from B-1 to M-1" to read " to rezone from R-2 to M-111.

Motion by Mr. Boone, seconded by Mr. Kirk thst the area be ad-
vertised for re -zoning with one modification, that the building
— xils be moved ten feet north, leavinten foot strip for offstreet
�oparking on Volanta Avenue, N
Voting aye: Mr. Woolley, Boone, Pitman, Kirk. Voting nay: none
Abstaining from voting: Mr. r`rederick.
The secretary was instructed to write Mr. Bailey advising him
of the above action.
Forrest E. Warren, acting for William Lamb, had submitted plat,
list of property owners within 500 feet, and covering letter
requesting rezoning of 66 feet i i Ly and adjoining
the south side of Barkley Ave a and fronting on a Fast side
of Section Street, block 21 olanta Subdivision f om R-2 to
B-1. Upon examination and discussion of plat, crepancies
in dimensions shown on plat ol-atfcifof minimum yard size
as required on page 7 in the Zoning Ordinance were noted. The
secretary was instructed to write `"r. Warren requesting that the
plan be resubmitted with the above discrepancies corrected.
The secretary was instructed to write W. S. Funk that the lot
descibed in his letter to the Commisssion on July 11, 1961, is
located in a B-3 Zoning area.
The sedretary presented a building permit application from Cor-
win Fulk for James Duncan on lot 4, block 189 Magnolia Beach
as resubdivided by Dan Meador and requested for the building
inspector a ruling on the permissibility of granting building
permit on this location. The secretary was instructed to get
the opinion of the City attorney.
Next meeting: Special meeting July 18, 1961 at 4 P.M. for the
purpose of discussing employment of city planner, the secretary
to so notify all members.
