FAIRHOPE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
Ju6 12, 1957 at 4:00 P. M., City Hall
Members Present: Chairman J. E. Woolley, Ed Overton, C. B. Niemeyer,
Pierce Frederick, Charles Belew, L. C. Maury.
Members Absent: Cecil Pitman, J. E. Gaston, Sr.
Interested Visitors: Claude Arnold, John Huffman.
Minutes of previous meeting read and approved.
Claude Arnold presented Dan B. Meador plan to change ock second
division of LTfgnolia Beach—a—d-d-ftspn. inegeasing
He plans to r ea cu a tt nunoer of lots from 12 to 10 f size of lots.
This was discussed in detail because of a peculiar lot plan creating
2 isolated middle lots with•all other lots backing up these two lots.
Ed Overton moved to disapprove the application.
Seconded by C. Belew, motion carried.
Chairman requested secretary to write Mr. Meador explaning reasoning
of this Board along with what the Boards recommends.

Pierce Frederick moved that approval be given.
Seconded by L. C. Maury, motion carried.
John Huffman presented Dupree Mason subdivision plat extending south
from 111orphiY adjacent to Berglin Street.
In an attempt to keep _-tVo a rows of pecan trees from being torn up
it was requested that the minimum width permissable be reduced from
fifty feet to forty feet. This was discussed and this Board again
gave its recommendations on this subdividion. No action taken.
Ed Overton moved that this Board do not approve any subdivision
outside the city limits without approval of the State Engineers
for Baldwin County.
Seconded by C. Belew, motion. carried
Due to expiration of Gavin Hunter term on Board Mayor Overton
asked thamembea of the Board suggest a competant successor.
Motion by Ed Overton, seconded by Pierce Frederick, that Chair-
man lloolley be elected chQirman of the Board for one more year.
Next meeting to be held August 9, 4:00 P.M., at City Hall.
