Gavin Hunter, J, E. Gaston, Sr.t4.L. C. Vaury, E. B. Overton and State Planning
Board Monber Mr. Doyle. Members Absent: Cecil Pitman.
The CcmmfWiee,1n regard to the Welgos proposal of lflst month to build a wor;c shop,
recom-:erded flrl-roval of which the City Council is to bs advised,
City Councilman Dupree Ysson made a verbal aFpli.cation for approval of P subdivision
on South Side Morphy Avenue starting approximately 470, feet East of Young St. and
extending 264 feet further East and 660 feet deep. Considerable discussion was given
this proposal. Mr. Mason was informed as to the r-ini-mm and naximrn requirc:aents for
the width of streets, turn arcurds, cul-de-sacs, etc. No Potion was taken.
It eras moved by Richard Macon and seconded by J. F. Gaston, Sr. that the area in
V►e general vicinity of Church & Pecan Streets, as shown on Zoning Neap of August,
1954, be rezoned fronn B-1 to an R2 designation. The motion aas carried unanimrnisly.
The above was the meeting that the Special Public Hearing Wes nsde. It is to be
noted that no one appeared to object. This action is to be brought to the notion
of the City Council.

Chairman Woolley annvinced that the next regular meeting tie held January 6th, 1956
at 7:00 P.M. at the Cites Hall.
