Maury, Pierce Frederick, E. B. Overton, Richard Macon, J. E. Gaston, Sr. and State Planning Board Member Mr. Doyle. Member absent: Cecil Pitman. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Discussion of changes as proposed by C. A. Overton and seconded by Gavin Hunter that the Major Street Plan as shown on the Map of June, 1955 be adopted. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. & Mrs. Sibley were interested in the above discussion and attended the meeting. It was moved IV Richard Macon and seconded by E. B. Overton that the application of Arthur Stenzel be disapproved. Motion was carried unanimously. It was moved by Richard Macon and seconded by E. B. Overton that the Secretary send a letter to Arthur Stenzel notifying him of the Coc=â–ºission policy on this type of change. I -lotion carried. It was motioned that the Secretary write a letter to Jean Teamer of the Wisteria Garden Club thanking her for her letter and asking her in the future to send her letters to the City Council. It was motioned by C. B. Niemeyer and seconded by L. C. Maury that a letter be written to Rose Kamper thanking her for her services and stating regrets at her decision to leave the body. Motioned by L. C. Maury and seconded by Gavin Hunter that the application of Mr. Welgos be disapproved. The Chairman will appoint a committee to look over and give opinion of proposed change requksted by Mr. Welgos. The following committee was appointed: C. B. Niemeyer, Gavin Hunter & Richard Macon. Claude Arnold presented a printed plan of Amon & Martha Gates to build a subdivision on the South half of Block 33. This was discussed. It was then motioned by C. B. Niemeyer, seconded by Richard Macon that this subdivision be approved. Motion was carried unanimously. IIotioned by Gavin Hunter and seconded by Pierce Frederick that the property in general vicinity of Pecan and Church Streets be rezoned to R-2 designation from B-1. Notice of this motion is to be advertised as a Public Meeting at the next regular meeting in the Courier's 3 previous issues. Motion carried. Discussion was given changing the meeting to some night in week. Next meeting to be held Friday Night, November 25th at 7:30 P.M. Meeting ad#ourned. 0
