Sidney Doyle of state Planning, Board was present and so were a number of dis- tinquished citizens asse-:bled to discuss -she proposed long range land use plan. Secretary was instructed to send a copy of his letter of June 8th to City Manuager concerning adoption of the Southern Building Code inas such a✓ l-"r. The Secretary was instructed to inform the City Council of its action and request that the City Council adopt he Long Range Plan as submitted. Mr. Joe Zit..merman's preliminary application for Subdivision of his property on e/s School St. approved as submitted. The Secretary was instructed to inform Mr. Zizmer- man that if he would make a formal request along the lines of his preliminary appli7 cation that tac Planning Co=,is lion would give him approval. -r. Da -.-iron's application for a Building permit to add to his present store on F.Iorohy and - ershon street was presented for approval. After PAGE 2 '+Liinutes Cont." hearing the opinions of the general public who aopeared at this meeting to present their views on this proposed ordinance, the City Planning Com- mission will make it's reco:-nendations as to the final for.., of the Zoning I.Iap and text. The PlanninZ Coa,u::ission will then sand this zoning ordinance to the City Council for adoption ,,hich brill be preceded by an advertised hear- ing by that Body. A copy p of the Proposed zoning text and Map ,.icy be in- Fpected at the office of the City Lanager. There being no further business, tho meeting tiaras adjourned. The next meeting will be July 30th, at 4:00 P. L. at the City Hall.
