Two approaches are being considered: (A) Withholding of 5% from 3 mill tax proceeds annually, plus $100,000 from the four remaining annual payments from the City of Fairhope (8) Designating 100% of the four remaining annual payments of $300,000 from the City of Fairhope to reserve account (total by fifth year would be $1.2 million) After considering these options as well as a combination of the two, there was also discussion of the uses for monies from the reserve account, such as the funding of teacher positions when economic downturn leads to budget cuts. A decision will be made in the future when more commission members are present to discuss. Ken Cole announced that Carrie McLemore will chair the nominating committee, which will work to fill 3 positions on the commission for 2021. The next meeting of the FPSC will be on September 2nd at 4:30, location to be determined. Meeting was adjourned at 5:20. Respectfully submitted by Miranda Schrubbe
