Ken Cole called the meeting to orde r. A motion was made and passed to approve the
minutes of the March 4th meeting of the commission.
After a general discussion regarding the use of the 3 mill tax proceeds for the
funding requests that are clearly in support of academics and the use of the annual
payment from the City of Fairhope for other items, requests from each school were
presented and discussed separately. As each was considered, individual items were
either approved or tabled for further discussion and consideration at the June
meeting.

*This item to be funded from City of Fairhope annual payment to BCBE for purchase
of K-1 Center earmarked for Fairhope feeder pattern schools; all other items
a pproved here to be funded by 3-mill special tax district revenue.
Note: Estimated proceeds from the 3-mill special tax district revenue are
$2,149,580.22. Subtracting $85,983.21-4% of total for reappraisal contingency-
and election expenses of $33,971.49 owed to the county for September 2019
referendum leaves estimated available funds of $2,029,625.52.
Discussion of creation of a reserve account was tabled, to be included on agenda of
the next meeting of the commission.
The next meeting of the FPSC will be on June 3rd at 4:30.
