TheBoardofAdjustments&AppealsmetTuesday,January21,2003at5:00PMattheCityAdministrationBuilding,161N.SectionStreet.Present:BernieFogarty;Chairman;CharlieBassett,SusanCunningham,CharlesSenior,LouisAgee.ErikCortinas,BuildingInspector,BettyRivenbark,SecretaryZBAO3-01-JerryandSueWise,109LaurelAvenue,frontyardvariance.Ms.WiseaddressedtheboardsayingtheywishedtoturnthecottageintoaFairhopebungalow.Thatthehousenowhasafrontporchof4ftandtheyaretryingtomoveitoutto10ftsotheycanputrockersonthefrontporch.Theyhadpresenteddrawingsofwhattheyproposed.Aletterofsupportwasinthefile.ThepublichearingwasopenedandSusieGlickman,apropertyownersaidthatshewasinfavorofwhatproposed.GarlandSims,aneighboralsospokesayinghewasinfavorthatitwashelpingtheneighborhood.Erikreadthestaffrecommendationwhichinfollowingthestrictinterpretationofthehardshipclause,therehastobeahardship,whichthereisnotinthiscasesodenialisrecommended.Discussionfollowedamongtheboardandtheapplicant.Itwasnotedtherewasstrongsupportintheneighborhoodandallfeltitwouldbeanimprovement.AmotionwasmadebyLouisAgeetoapprovethevarianceasrequested.SusanCunningham2ndthemotionanditcarriedunanimously.ZBA02-26RichardWillard,202S.MobileStreet,requesttoallowaccessorystructuretoremainonproperty.Mr.Willardhadanaccidentsothiswascarriedoverfromthelastmeetingbutaskedthatwegoaheadandactonit.Hehasindicatedthathewillputaprivacyfencearoundthisassoonasheisable.Alltheneighborswerenotifiedofthiscaseandnoonehascomeforwardtoexpressconcern.Staffrecommendationwastodeny.Thepublichearingwasopenedandclosedasnoonewaspresentfor/against.SusanCunninghammovedtoapproveleavingitthereastherewasnoconcernwiththeneighborhood.CharlieBassettthemotionanditcarriedunanimously.Therebeingnofurtherbusiness,meetingwasdulyadjournedat5:20PM
