HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutesTheBoardofAdjustments&AppealsmetMonday,May21,2001at5:00PMattheCityAdministrationBuilding,161N.SectionStreetat5:00PMPresent:BobMannich,Chairman;SusanCunningham,CharlesSenior,JimMcClure,CharlesBassett.ChristopherBaker,DirectorofPlanning&Zoning,BettyRivenbark,SecretaryTheminutesoftheMarch19,2001meetingwereconsideredandapprovedonmotionbySusanCunningham,2ndbyJimMcClureandunanimouslycarried.BAOI-05SpecialExceptionUse-RequestofUnitarianUniversalistFellowshipChurch(generallylocatedatthesouthwestcornerofFairhopeAvenueandBishopRoad)ErnestMullingsmadetherequestonthechurch’sbehalf.Mr.BakerhadcommentedthatthisiszonedR5-HighDensityMultiFamilyandabutsexistingresidentiallyzonedpropertytothesouth.ArudimentarysiteplanwasprovidedbyBuddyRichmond,thearchitect.Hisrecommendationwastoapprovesubjecttomeetingapplicabledevelopmentregulationsforabuildingpermitandtorequiretheconstructionofasidewalkalongtheeastpropertyline.Mr.Millingswaspresentandsaidhewouldbegladtoansweranyquestions.AMs.Cahillaskediftherewereanyplansavailable.Thereweretwootherresidentspresentwhoaskedaboutdrainageplans.Saidtheydidnotwishtoseeanywaterrunontheirpropertyfromtheconstructionofthechurch.Mr.Bakerexplainedatwhatpointthedrainageplanswouldbepresentedanddiscussed.Anotherresidentcommentedonthelightproblemthatcomesfromthesatellitecourthousebuilding.TherebeingnofurthercommentsamotionwasmadebyJimMcClure,2’bySusanCunninghamtograntthespecialexceptionusesubjecttoinstallationofsidewalkalongtheeastpropertyline.Motioncarriedunanimously.Therebeingnofurtherbusiness,meetingwasdulyadjourned.
