HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes1TheBoardofAdjustments&AppealsmetMonday,February17,199ffat6:30PMattheCityAdministrationBuilding,161N.SectionStreet.Present:ChairmanClaudePuckett;membersCharlieSenior,JimMcClure,JoePetties,anaRobertVanlderstine.RobertLunsford,ZoningEnforcementOfficerandBettyRivenbark,SecretaryTheminutesofDecember15,1996meetingweredulyapprovedonmotionbyRobertVanIderstine,secondedbyJimMcClureandunanimouslycarried.Case#589HarveyJones.361So.MobileStreet,heightvarianceMr.Joneswaspresenttotalktotheboardandsaidthatheisstayingwithinthe30ft.heightrequirementbutisaskingfora21/2storybuildinginordertobuild3condosonthissitewithagaragebeloweachunit.Thathefeelsthattheownerofsuchunitwouldbebetterservediftheyhad3parkingspaces.Hewasaskedifheplannedtoteardownthehousetherenowandhesaidtheyhaveplanstomoveit.Heshowedhisplanstothemembers.Mr.Puckettaskediftherewereanyquestions,BealIeDawsonaskedhowclosewashetopropertylineandhewasinformedthathemetthoserequirements,onlyquestionwasheight.BobLunsfordsaidhehadnoproblemswithwhatproposed.Therebeingnofurtherquestionsamotionwascalledfor,andRobertVanIderstinemovedtograntvarianceasrequested,JimMcCluresecondedandmotioncarriedunanimously.Case#590RhondaStacey.114LaurelStreet.1’8”sideyardvarianceMs.Staceyspoketotheboardsayingthatallsheneededwas1’8”tobuildasinglecarcarportattachedtoherhouse.BobLunsfordsaidhehadseentheplans,heaskedifshewasusinganexistingdrivewaytoleadtothecarportandshesaidtherewereafewsmalltreesthatsheisgoingtohavetoremove.Mr.Puckettaskediftherewasanyonepresentwhowishedtospeaktothisissue,therewasnoone,heaskedtheboardiftheyhadanyquestions,therewerenone.JimMcCluremovedtograntthevarianceasrequested,RobertVanIderstinesecondedandmotioncarriedunanimously.TheboardonmotionbyRobertVanIderstine,secondedbyJimMcClureunanimouslyapprovedthefilingschedulethatMr.LunsfordhadworkedupformakingapplicationstotheBoard.Therebeingnofurtherbusiness,meetingwasdulyadjourned.
