HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-22-1984 Regular Meeting237 The Airport Board of the City of Fairhope met October 22, 1984 at 8:00 A.M. Present: Russ Kilgore, Chairman; members Trisha Nelson and Mason McGowin, M.L. Aust Consulting Engineer and later Tommie Werneth Consultant Russ told the members the cost of constructing 10 T-hangars at the airport price range from 42,500 to 78,000. Different ways to finance this was discussed and rent to charge aircraft owners who wanted to use the facilities. It was decided that we needed to draw up the specifications and go out on bids. A question came up about whether or not we had to go ahead with the project if the prices were too high after bids in. Trisha to check on this with City Attorney. M.L. brought the Board up to date on the project and the letter he had submitted to the F.A.A. on parallel taxiway and problem. The Board discussed the land donation and came up with another meeting date on November 5, 1984 at 8:00 A.M. The Board was to try to get to Hattiesburg to discuss with bank the current operator at the Airport and what their plans are about continuing operation. There being no further business meeting was duly adjourned
