The Airport Board of the City of Fairhope met April 12, 1984
at 8:00 A.M.
Present: Chairman Russ Kilgore, members Trish Nelson and
David Barnhill . M.L. Aust and Meg Cosby.
Russ presented a bill from M & S Electric for fixing the
rotating beacon and taxiway lights for $1,492.75. David Barn-
hill moved, Trish Nelson seconded to'pay when funds become
available. Motion passed unanimously. M.L. Aust said that
the VAST lights were looked at while they were here and that
he said that they were beyond repair.
The Oil Lease Agreement was mentioned and that Mack Bethea
and Jim Reid still need to get together as there is a verbage
problem.
The Assignment of lease to First Mississippi National Bank was
brought up and when discussed it was mentioned that there
is a discrepancy in the legal description that was discovered
when the Industrial Board and Rohr were working on space on
airport. This was carried over in order for the attorney to
look over it before anything else done.
At this time M.L. brought out that the City Bldg. Inspector
needed to make an'inspection of the Rohr office and make recommend-
ation to Board after this done.
The Board asked Meg about the air -craft charter part of her min-
imum standards. She reported that she gave everybody there a
chance to lease their planes for sub -lease. No one except Wayne
Burkett wanted to do this. She was asked when she thought she
would be in compliance, and she responded within the next 2 weeks.
It was mentioned that the Board was confident that Mrs. Cosby
was trying to come into compliance with the minimum standards.
It was also mentioned about the delegation that went to see the
Mayor to complain about the rules & regulations and that we Would
stand behind the FBO in shutting down these people that are trying
to operate illegally at the airport.
Mrs. Cosby also mentioned that she had solved the problem with
John Wimpee and that he is now back on her payroll.
The ramp area and how something can be derived for the airport
and the city was discussed. Mrs. Cosby said she did not mind
being agent for the Board that maybe a percentage of tie -down
fees could be realized. It was suggested that each based plane
have a rental agreement. Meg mentioned that she had seen some-
thing in a flying magazine that outlined something that she
would look into it further.
M.L. gave but copy of a letter he had sent to FAA pointing
out standards violated if project goes through like it is.
It asks for action from them. He further mentioned we were
going to have someone here from Atlanta office Monday.

He presented several pay requests amounts were $1,196.00,
2,267.54, 777.00, 975.00. Trisha Nelson moved to pay these
as money becomes available. David Barnhill seconded and
motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
