HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-02-1983 Regular Meeting199 The Airport Board of the City of Fairhope met June 2, 1983 at the Civic Center Complex, 161 N. Section Street, at 2:00 p.m. Present: Chairman, Don Coogan; members Jim Gaston, Trisha Nelson, Buzz Colling, David Barnhill Mr. Coogan went over the events since we have submitted the pre -application to the F.A.A. in Jackson. He also stated that he had received word that further data was needed which we are working on getting. The letter from M.& S. Electric on repairs to the 4 KW airport lighting regulator was discussed. That he had gone ahead with seeking to get it repaired and now asking for Board's concurrence in this action. Buzz Colling moved that all concur in need for getting repaired, Jim Gaston seconded and motion passed unanimously. At this time Jim Gaston submitted his bill for 90.92 for his flight to Jackson, taking M.L. Aust and Tommie Werneth to talk with F.A.A. officials on 6/1/83. David Barnhill moved to reimburse him for these expenses Trisha Nelson seconded and motion passed unanimously. A bill from Gulf Coast Media in the amount of $19.67 was submitted and approved for payment(this being the adver- tisement for consulting engineer and project engineer) Trisha Nelson reported to the Board her conversation with Meg Cosby regarding Gilbert Wesley's bill for ramp -parking that he has not paid. Much discussion was held on how to handle this. All agreed we needed to get new agreement going with City receiving a percentage. Don mentioned he had an agreement that had been drawn up by the City Attorney, this was discussed and it was moved by Trisha Nelson that in the future these ramp parking fees should be on an 80% for operator and 20% for city basis. Jim Gaston seconded motion and it carried unanimously. This to be effective June 1, 1983. Don gave each member a copy of draft of new minimum standards for study to be discussed at later date. A tentative meeting date of 2:30 June 9th at the Airport was set. There being no further business meeting was duly adjourned.
