HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-01-1980 Regular Meetingtot The Airport Board of the City of Fairhope met on May 1, 1930 at 9:00 A.M. at the City Administration Building, 337 Fairhope Avenue, Fairhope, Alabama Those members present: Chairman Russell Kilgore; Members Jim Gaston, Mac McCawley and IA L L. Aust, Consulting Engineer We have received a letter from F.A.A. District Office in Atlanta informing us that we have to hire minority business groups since we are using grant money. M.L. Aust said he will be in further contact with the F.A.A. office and get back with us later on what he finds out. M.L. showed the Board members a layout of the different parcels of land we are considering buying adjoining the property we now own at the Airport. And asked which we wanted to go ahead with. Mac McCawley moved to have the appraisers go ahead with parcels F.G.H.I. of Exhibit A property map Project #5-01-0029-03. J.E. Gaston seconded and motion carried unanimously. M.L. also explained to the Board members that he is having a problem with a shortage of dirt and grading where we are building the new ramp. There was a discussion on the different things we could do to solve the problem and it was decided to recess and meet at the airport for further discussion. At the Airport there were no solutions worked out, and M.L. Aust will continue the study and report back. There being no further business, meeting was duly adjourned.
