Officers for 2022 were elected: • Chairperson – Amy Foley • Vice-Chairperson – Paul Hannon • Secretary – Miranda Schrubbe John Wilson distributed and explained a new method he has created for presenting financials for each school, using an August through July frame. Previous spreadsheets were based on the fiscal year frame, October through September, though funding is approved by school year. This approach will provide a clearer picture of budgeted to actual expenses and carryover funds for the timeframe in which the funding is allocated. K-1 funding and 3-mill funding are shown separately. It is understood that carryover from one year to the next can be used for the same budgeted expense as originally approved, but a threshold for the amount that can be carried over might be considered. The total from 3-mill money available for reserve balance at the end of the 2020-2021 school year is $414,944. Meeting locations for the next 4 meetings were determined as follows: • February 2nd – Fairhope East Elementary • March 2nd – J. Larry Newton Elementary • April 6th – Fairhope Middle School (subject to change due to spring holiday) • May 4th – Fairhope High School Meeting was adjourned at 5:35.
