Absent was Lonnie Mixon, City Council Liaison . The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. Minutes from the June 15 , 2012 were approved by a first motion set forth by Beeman Bond and second by Diane Thomas. Chairman Howard gave a brief update to the committee on the progress of the compensation study. He discussed that he and Diane Thomas would be making a brief presentation to Mayor Kant and Lonnie Mixon, City Council President. The study is then placed on the agenda for Lorenzo and Diane to make a formal presentation during the City Council Work Session to the City Council. Diane Thomas also gave a brief update concerning the compensation guidelines that will need to be addresse d once the compensations study is approved by the City Council. Jud y Hale supplied a brief "seco nd draft" handout concerning the potential Personnel Board Disciplinary Appeal Process and how the flow of holding the meeting would progress. It was decided that this will be a working continued discussion in future meetings. There was an open discussion among all Personnel Board members and Pandora Heathcoe, Human Resource Manager, concerning the issue of safety Pandora Heathcoe stated that an internal committee had b een formed that consists of City of Fairhope employees. Chairman Howard discussed the upcoming agenda for the next meeting. The agenda will tentatively be to discuss disciplinary process review, training, and the performance evaluation process for employees. Chairman Howard suggested that the Board skip the August meeting and schedule one for September. All members agreed. Wayne Griffin moved the meeting be adjourned and Di ane Thomas seconded the motion. The next regularly scheduled Perso1mel Board meetin g wi ll be held Friday, September 21, 2012 at 9:00 AM in the Delchamp s Room of City Hall. There being no further busine ss, the meeting was adjourned at 9 :5 0 AM.
