Dear Mr. Kilgore:
I conducted a compliance and facilities inspection of the Fairhope
Municipal Airport on January 31, 1978. The purpose of this inspec-
tion was to update our statistical data on your airport and to deter-
mine whether the City of Fairhope is in compliance with its grant
agreement obligations to the United States. I was accompanied during
the inspection by Mr. M. L. Aust, whose courtesy and cooperation were
greatly appreciated.
The overall condition of the airport is considered to be satisfactory.
We are pleased to advise that the City of Fairhope is in compliance
with its grant agreement obligations, however, corrective action is
indicated in the following areas and should be accomplished in the
near future:
1. The lighting system has fixtures in need of replacement of globes
and bulbs and one entire fixture missing.
2. The threshold lights were removed for the runway overlay and were
not replaced at the time of this inspection.
3. The rotating beacon was inoperative.
Please advise when the above items have been corrected.
Sincerely,
W Y 0. CALDWELL
Project Manager
