This project aims to improve the 10-acre South Beach Park area for residents, focusing on enhancing accessibility, safety, and enjoyment while ensuring long-term sustainability. One key aspect of the upgrade include repairing the aging bulkhead/seawall, damaged by recent storms, to maintain structural integrity and visitor safety. Upgrades will also encompass a new bulkhead and new restroom facility at South Beach Park, pedestrian safety enhancements, pier improvements, and updates to the fountain and rose garden. Construction will be carried out by Rolin Construction Inc., with minimal disruptions to pier access. Residents can stay informed about progress and potential closures through the City’s website and Facebook page. Fairhope residents can look forward to enjoying a revitalized and resilient waterfront park. We are hopeful that we will have the park back open just in time for the 4th of July!
