The Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival Foundation is proud to announce that the 70th annual Fairhope Arts and Crafts Fes-tival will take place March 18, 19, and 20, 2022, in beautiful downtown Fairhope.
The Festival was recently named one of the TOP 25 art shows in the nation by the prestigious Sunshine Artist Magazine in their annual “200 Best” list of the top two hundred art shows.
“We are honored that our Festival has received this recogni-tion,” said 2022 Festival Chairman Vicky Cook. “Our organiza-tion and its volunteers work year-round to bring this cherished community event to life every year. This award is particularly meaningful this year as we prepare for our platinum jubilee in 2022. We are proud to be a time-honored tradition for so many artists, locals, and guests that visit our utopia by the Bay for 70 years.”
The Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival Foundation (501c3) hosts the annual Festival and its surrounding events to promote community appreciation of the arts and support art education. All proceeds are reinvested into the community through local scholarships, donations, and grants available to students and organizations in Fairhope.

As we ring in 2022, the City of Fairhope will begin projects that will improve our community for years to come.
This year you will see the transformation of the alleyway at the parking garage to Arts Alley, which will bring with it a transportation hub and restroom facility and hopefully, alleviate some of the parking issues downtown.
At Gayfer Road and Greeno, turn lanes will begin to help reduce traffic that builds up and causes delays each day.
Our three major RESTORE projects will begin to move at a faster rate, allowing us to hopefully begin construction on the $10 million sewer upgrades and the long-stalled Working Waterfront. We will also continue to engage the public for the Comprehensive Plan during the first quarter of the year.
And by Fall 2022, the Church Street Infrastructure Project will be nearing completion, allowing for upgraded utility lines and stormwater drainage systems from Oak Street to Fels Avenue.
If it seems like there’s a lot going on, you’re right. We are excited to see the wonderful things 2022 will bring!
Sherry Sullivan, Mayor
