PRESENT WERE MAYOR JAMES P. Nix; COUNCILMEMBER JOHN V. DUCK, MICHAEL A. FORD, DEBBIE W. QUINN, JEANETTE PUCKETT, WILLIAM H. JONES; CITY ATTORNEY MARION E. WYNNE, AND CITY CLERK GENIECE W. JOHNSON. NO ONE WAS ABSENT. THERE BEING A QUORUM PRESENT, MAYOR NIX CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER. COUNCILMEMBER DUCK MOVED TO APPROVE MINUTES OF THE 1 4 DECEMBER 1 99, REGULAR MEETING. SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER JONES, MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. COUNCILMEMBER FORD INTRODUCED IN WRITING, AND MOVED FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION. SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER PUCKETT, MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. 28 DECEMBER 1 998 RESOLUTION NO: 620-98 2247 P242 WHEREAS, PAUL A. FREDERICK, 111, AND MAXINE J. FREDERICK, HUSBAND AND WIFE, AND PIERCE E. FREDERICK AND JEANNE G. FREDERICK, HUSBAND AND WIFE, THE GRANTORS, IS HEREBY DONATING TO THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, THE GRANTEE, ALL THAT REAL PROPERTY ACCORDING TO PLAT OF RECORD FILED UNDER INSTRUMENT NO. 473376,_PAGES 3 OF THE PROBATE RECORDS OF BALDWIN COUNTY, ALABAMA, AND; WHEREAS, SAID PROPERTY IS TO BE USED EXCLUSIVELY AS A NATURAL GREEN BELT PARK, WITH NO STRUCTURES TO EVER BE PLACED ON SUCH PROPERTY AND WITH SAID PROPERTY NEVER TO BE USED AS A VEHICLE PARKING AREA. WHEREAS, SAID PROPERTY IS TO BE NAMED FREDERICK PARK ON THE CITY RECORDS. MAYOR NIX ANNOUNCED THAT HE HAS RECEIVED A UPDATED LETTER FROM VOLKERT & ASSOCIATES, BIDS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SEWER LINES ALONG COUNTY ROAD ONE WILL BE OPENED 1 9 JANUARY 1 999. MAYOR NIX ALSO EXPRESSED THAT DUE TO AN INCREASE IN TIPPING FEES, THE CITY MAY HAVE TO LOOK INTO INCREASING OUR GARBAGE FEE.
