NOTICE AND CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given of a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to be held at
the Fairhope Municipal Complex on Wednesday,
3 February 1988, at 5:00 pm, for the purpose of reviewing
bids on two metal buildings for the Golf Course and
for kitchen equipment; and to discuss asphalt for the
cart paths.
CONSENT TO HOLDING OF MEETING
The undersigned members of the City Council of the City
of Fairhope, Alabama, do hereby acknowledge service of
the Notice and Call of Special Meeting hereinabove set
forth and do hereby consent to the holding of such
meeting at such time and in such place and for the
nurnoses set forth therein.
Councilwoman Jeanette Puckett was absent.

The City Council, City of Fairhope, met in special session
at 5:00 pm, Fairhope Municipal Complex, 161 North Section
Street, Fairhope, Alabama 36532, on Wednesday, 3 February 1988.
Present were Mayor James P. Nix; Councilmembers Roy C.
White, David E. Bishop, Michael A. Ford, and Barney L. Shull;
City Attorney James Reid and City Clerk Evelyn Phillips.
Councilwoman Jeanette Puckett was absent.
The purpose of this meeting was to review bids on two
metal buildings for the Golf Course and on miscellaneous
kitchen equipment; and to discuss asphalt for cart paths.
There being a quorum present, Mayor Nix called the
meeting to order.

Councilman White moved to accept the low bid from Sun Coast,
provided all specifications are met. Seconded by Councilman
Shull, motion passed unanimously.

Councilman Ford moved to accept.the low bid from Barland, pro-
vided all specifications are met. Seconded by Councilman White,
motion passed unanimously.
Mayor Nix advised asphalt for the cart paths would not
exceed $3,000 and was not bid out. Quotes were obtained from
vendors, however, and the lowest quote was $6.00 per ton by
Temco Corporation. Councilman Bishop moved to purchase the
asphalt from Temco. Seconded by Councilman White, motion
passed unanimously.
Meeting was duly adjourned at 5:27 pm.
