We, the undersigned members of the Fairhope City Council,
do hereby waive notice of a special -called meetingto be held
10 June 1982 at 5:30 o'clock, P.M., City Administration Building,
387 Fairhope Avenue, Fairhope, Alabama, for the purpose of
business relating to the 1982 Series General Obligation $1,000,000'
Warrants issue for Municipal Civic Center Complex project and

STATE OF ALABAMA
COUNTY OF BALDWIN I
The City Council, City of Fairhope, met in special
session at 5:30 p.m. City Administration Building, 387
Fairhope Avenue, Fairhope, Alabama 36532, on Thursday,
10 June 1982.
Present were Mayor James P. Nix, Councilmembers
Sam E. Box, Trisha Nelson, Roy C. White, and David Ed
Bishop; City Attorney Jim Reid and City Clerk Evelyn
Phillips. Councilman McCawley telephoned that he would
be a few minutes late. (See arrival noted below) Mr.
Frederick C. Woods, of Woods & Associates, Civic Center
Architects, was also present.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss bid items
on the Civic Center project and to adopt items relating
to the $1,000,000 General Obligation Warrants, Series
1982, issue.
Mayor Nix declared a quorum present and opened the
meeting. He reviewed the bid openings on the canopy fasia
and canopy ceiling which the Council had decided earlier
not to construct. Mr. Woods explained that he felt these
items were needed. After some discussion, Councilman Box
moved to accept Boothe Contracting's offer to do the fasia
and the ceiling for a total of $65,586(Boothe was the only
bidder on the original bidding.) Seconded by Councilman
Bishop, motion passed unanimously.
Councilman C.O. McCawley arrived.
Councilman McCawley introduced Ordinance No. 689
an Ordinance authorizing $1,000,000 General Obligation
Warrants, 1982 Series, issue. In order to take action
at this time, Councilman Box moved to suspend the rules.
Seconded by Councilman White, motion passed unanimously
by the following vote: AYE - Box, White, Bishop, McCawley
Nelson, and Nix. NAY _ none. Councilman McCawley then
moved for final adoption of Ordinance No. 689. Seconded
by Councilman Box, motion passed unanimously by the follow-
ing vote: AYE - Box, White, Bishop, McCawley, Nelson, and
Nix. NAY - none.
Councilman McCawley introduced Resolution No. 42-82
a resolution setting forth the Official Statement of the
City. In order to take action at this time, Councilman
Box moved to suspend the rules. Seconded by Councilwoman
Nelson, motion passed unanimously by the following vote:
AYE - Box, White, Nelson, Bishop, McCawley, and Nix. NAY -
none. Councilman McCawley then moved for final adoption
of Resolution No. 42-82. Seconded by Councilman Bishop,

Box, White, Nelson, Bishop, McCawley, and Nix. NAY - none.
Meeting was duly adjourned.
