HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-23-1975 Regular Meetingter' v STATE OF ALABAMA COUNTY OF BALDWIN The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the City Administration Building, 387 Fairhope Avenue, on Monday, June 23, 1975 at 7:00 P.M. with the following members present: Councilmen: David E. Bishop, H. G. Bishop, Sam E.Box, 011ie E. Deese and Barney L. Shull. Absent: Mayor James'P. Nix, In the absence of Mayor Nix, Mayor Protem Sam Box presided at the meeting. Motion by Councilman H. G. Bishop seconded by Councilman Barney Shull that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved. Motion carried. Mr. Maisel presented a proposal from State Mutual Life Assuranc( Company of America for group insurance for City employees. Proposal referred to Councilman David Bishop and Councilman 011ie Deese for report at next regular meeting of the Council. Motion by Councilman Barney Shull seconded by Councilman H. G. Bishop that the City Council in conjunction with the Planning and Zoning Commission advertise for public hearing on Revised Zoning Ordinance on July 21; 1975 at 7:00 P.M. at the Adult Tourist Recreation,'Center on Morphy Avenue. Motion carried. Councilman Deese reported that the owner of property on S. Bayview had requested help in installing curbing from Fairhope Avenue South to the gully, owner to furnish material and city to furnish labor. It was recommended that Councilman Deese contact the,.Fairhope Single Tax Corporation since this is Colony land. Motion by Councilman David E. Bishop seconded by Councilman Barney L. Shull that Ordinance No. 553, AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 4-25 IN THE CODE OF FAIRHOPE, AND ORDINANCE,# 275, introduced at the regular meeting of June 9, 1975 be adopted as introduced. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilman David E. Bishop seconded by Councilman Barney L. Shull that ORDINANCE NO. 553-A AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 4-26 OF THE CODE OF FAIP.HOPE, AND ORDINANCE NO. 301, introduced at the regular meeting of June 9, 1975 be adopted as introduced. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilman David E. Bishop seconded by Councilman Barney L. Shull that City prohibit use of City equipment on private property for private use unless authorized by the Mayor and City Council. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned. Approved Mayor Protem Attest: City Clerk
