COUNTY OF BALDWIN
The City Council of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, met in regular
session at the City Administration Building, 387 Fairhope Avenue,
Monday, April 14, 1975 at 7:00 P.M. with the following members
present: Councilmen: David E. Bishop, H. G. Bishop, Sam E. Box,
011ie E. Deese and Barney L. Shull. Mayor James P. Nix being
absent.
In absence of Mayor Nix, Councilman Sam Box, Mayor Pro-tem
presided at the meeting.
Minutes of the previous meeting were held for next regular meet-
ing for approval.
Motion by Councilman Barney Shull seconded by Councilman 011ie
Deese that the application of Mrs. Willie Mae Smith for Beer
Permit at the Fairhope Restaurant and pool Room be approved.
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman David E. Bishop seconded by Councilman
011ie E. Deese that thg City request sealed bids for sale of
one Dod a truck, 1j T - 1955 - 6 cyl. flatbed, one 1958 Chev.
C-10 - T long wheel base 6 Cyl and one 1967 Dodge Coronet 500-
2 dr. Hardtop 383 - V8. Bids will be opened at the regular meet-
ing of the Fairhope City Council on April 28, 1975• Vehicles
are located at City Garage on S. Section Street. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Barney Shull seconded by Councilman 011ie
Deese that Bob Jeffers be appointed as Harbor Master. Motion
carried.
Councilman Barney Shull nominated Mrs. Donald Smith to fill
vacancy on the Recreation Board. There being no other nominations,
Councilman H. G. Bsihop moved, seconded by Councilman Barney
Shull that the nominations be closed and Mrs. Smith duly appoint-
ed for a five t51 year term on the Recreation Board replacing
Dr. R. H. Johnson who has resigned. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Barney Shull seconded by Councilman David
Bishop that the City advertise for rezoning on the Rosenquist
property from R-2 to R-3, property being Lots 11 and 12 , Block
6, Magnolia Beach Addition to the City of Fairhope, located at
the Southwest corner of Satsuma Street and Fig Avenue. Motion
carried.
Motion by Councilman David E. Bishop seconded by Councilman Barney
Shull that the City ask for bids on three (3) oil switches.

Motion by Councilman David E. Bishop seconded by Councilman Barney
Shull that Ordinance No. 550, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE,
SECTION 139 DISTRICT BOUNDARIES, by including recently annexed
Wylie property Zoned R-3, introduced at the meethg of March 24,
BE ADOPTED AS INTRODUCED. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman H. G. Bishop seconded by Councilman Barney
Shull that the bills be approved for payment. Motion carried.
It was duly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn.
