STATE OF ALABAMA
COUNTY OF BALDWIN
The City Council of the City. -of Fairhope met in special session
at the City Administration Building, 387 Fairhope Avenue, Tues-
day, July 309 1974 at 5:30 P.M. with the following members present:
Mayor James P. Nix, Councilmen: H. G. Bishop, Sam E. Box, 011ie E.
Deese and Barney L. Shull, Councilman David Bishop being absent.
Each .member present signed Waive of Notice of the calling and
holding of. the special meeting.
Councilman Sam Box introduced the following Ordinance:
ORDINANCE NO. 6`111_
BEIT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA that the following charges be made for trash
pick-up in the City Limits of Fairhope, Alabama:

Trash will be--oicked up won the North Side of Fairhope Avenue on
{Monday and Tuesday and on the South Side of Fairhope Avenue on
Thursday -and Friday;- You must call the City Hall and request that
it be picked up. No trash should be put on the street until a
request for pick-up is made.
Driver of the truck will determine amount picked up and the charge
will be added to the utility bill.

Councilman Shull moved that all rules governing the council
which minght, unless suspended, prevent the passage and adoption
of the ordinance at this meeting, be and the same are hereby sus-
pended for the purpose of permitting the said ordinance to be
finally passed and adopted at"this meetin. Councilman 011ie Deese
seconded the motion. The question was put before the council and
on roll call the vote was as follows: Yea: Councilmen: H. G. Bishop,
Sam E'' Box, 011ie E. Deese 'and Barney L. SHull, Nay: None.
Motion '.adopted by unanimous vote of the members present. Councilman
Sam Box moved that said ordinance No, be finally passed and adopted
as introduced. Motion seeonded'by. Councilman Barney Shull.. The
question of final ]passage and adoption of said ordinance was put
to vote and on roll 'call the results were as follows: Yea: Council-
men: H. G. Bishop, Sam E. Bo,x, 011ie E. Deese and Barney L. Shull.
Nay: None. Ordinance finally passed and adopted.
Councilman Barney Shull moved, seconded by Councilman Sarp Box that
the following Resolution be adopted:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the,City of Fairhope
are desirous of borrowing $200,000.00 from the FIRST NATIONAL BANK
OF FAIRHOPE, Fairhope, Alabama for one year, under a General Obliga-
tion Note, and
WHEREAS, the FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF FAIRHOPE, Fairhope, Alabama,
is desirous of lending the same unto the City of Fairhope for one
year, with an interest rate of 0% per annum, with interest payable
quarterly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BEsIT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Fairhope, Alabama, be, and it does hereby authorize the
Honorable James P. Nix, Mayor of the City of Fairhope, Fairhope, Ala-
bama,to exe.cute a General Obligation Note to the FIRST NATIONAL BANK
OF FAIRHOPE, Fairhope, Alabama in the amount of $200,000.00 for one
year,. with interest at the rate of 6 q6 per annum on the unpaid
balance, which said interest shall be payable in quarterly Install-
ments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOVED, that the City Clerk attest the same,
and the same be countersigned by the :City Treasurer of the City of
Fairhope, Alabama.

Upon being put to vote the, following vote was recorded: Aye: Council-
men Sam E. Box, 011ie E. Deese and Barney L. Shull, Nay: None.
Council H. G. Bishop abstained from voting. Motion carried.
Notion duly made, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn.
