`STATT OF ALA'3AMA COUNTY OF BA;,DWIN The City Couticil of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the City Administration Building, 381 Fairhope Avenue, Monday, April 89 19?4 at i :00 P.M. with the following members present: Council- men: David E, Bishop, H. G. Bishop, Sam E. Box, 011ie .. Deese and Barney L. Shell, Mayor James P. Nix being absent. Sam Box, Mayor Protem presided at the meeting in absence of the Ylavor. Motion by Councilman H. G. Bishop seconded by Councilman Barre.y Shull that the minutes of the previous regular and special meetings be approved. Motion carried. This being date set for Public Hearing on Ingersoll property rezoning, Mayor Protem Box opened the meeting for discussion. Mr. Ingersoll stated his request and told the Council that the property owner_ directly south of his property would be in favor of rezoning his property to 13-1 and the two property owners North of Ingersoll were also in favor of rezoning their property to B-1. No protests were heard at this meeting. Motion by Councilman Shull seconded by Council- man Ed Bishop that the ren_uest be returned to the Planning and -onin g Commission with recommendation that: Commission review request since adjoin.ng property of-mer, s were in favor of rezoning sll_ the property to 73-1. Recommendations from meter reading deuartment to be presented at next meeting. Hearing to05e held on June 10, 1974 in conjunction with the. regular meeting of the City Council. Motion carried. AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY, WHICH SAID PROPERTYAS CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY LIMITS TO THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA,SUCH ANNEXATION BY PETITION OF ALL OF THE PROPERTY OWNERS OF SAID PROPERTY. WHEREAS, EASTERN SHORE BUILDERS, INC., an Alabama corporation, being owner of all the hereinafter described property did by Petition, petition the .City of Fairhope, Alabama, for annexation, under Act. .2228, Adopted in the 1971 Regular Session of the Legislature of the State of Alabama, and WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to the Petition as required by said Act, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIR - HOPE, ALABAMA, that these presents do hereby annex all of the hereinafter described property, which is contiguous to the Corporate Limits of the CITY OF ,FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, and more particularly described as follows; to -wit: From the SW Corner of the NW4 of the NW14 Section 16, Township 6 South, Range 2 East', run 899�54' East along the South line of the NW4 of the NW4 a distance of .455 feet for a POINT OF BEGINNING: thence run North 300 feet; thence South 890 54' West, 125 feet; thence North 547.89 feet to an iron pin.corner marker in an old fence, the North boundary fence line of the Andrews property; thence run South 890 54'.East, 901.45 feet to an old fence corner post, the NE corner of said Andrews property; thence run South 020 58' East along the Eastern Andrews property line, 815.74 feet to an iron pin corner marker; thence run South 899,54' West 81.7.'80 feet to the Point of Beginning. Advertise for bids on computer. 3, Create new Fire position,. 4. Establish written policy on water line construction. 5, North American Telephone land sale, 6. Open bids on Police Radio equipment.
