COUNTY OF BALDWIN
The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at
the City Administration Building, 387 Fairhope Avenue, Monday,
October 8, 1973 at 7:00 P,M, with the following members present:
Mayor James P. Nix, Councilmen: David (Ed) Bishop, H. G, Bishop,
Sam E. Box, 011ie E. Deese and Barney L. Shull.
Minutes of the previous regular meeting were approved.
Piotion by Councilman Shull seconded. by Councilman Box that the
Jaycees and Eastern Shore Bicycle Club be granted permission for
Concession stand near the Pier on October 20, 1973 for the Bike -
A -Thou, Notion carried.
nation by Councilman Box seconded by Councilman Deese that the
City accept application for rezoning from R-2 to B-2, Lot 329
Volanta, for Public Hearing in conjunction with the regular meet-
ing of the Council on November 12, 1973• Motion carried.

ing bids were received:

Motion by Councilman Ed Bishop seconded by Councilman Barney Shull
that the City accept low bid of Steber Chevrolet provided bid meet
specifications. NY Lion carried.
Motion by Councilman Barney Shull seconded by Councilman H. G.
Bishop that the City ask for bids on copy machine, Motion carried,
This being date set for opening bids on Aerial Lift-, the following
bids were received:

that the City accept low bid of Altec, ]he. provided bid meets

that the City accept for advertising for public hearing in con-
junction with the regular meeting of the Fairhope City Council on
November 12, 19739 the Dyas property located on Alabama r104 and
tl. S. #98. Motion carried.'
i-btion by Councilman Barney Shull seconded by Councilman H. G.
Bishop that the City accept Cain drainage as a project based on
the fact that drainage easements be granted to the City. Priority
to be set at later date. Motion carried.
Council agreed to set up Beautification Board, with member of the
Park and Recreation Board as Chairman, to recommend to the City
ways of beautifying the City and Parks.
Mr, Don McWilliams, iiitchell Company, met with Council concerning
the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission on the
Shopping Center on Greeno Road. After general discussion it was
referred to the City Attorney.
Judge Roy White reported to Council on Recorder's Court for the
past ear. Council commended Judge White on his operation of
Recorder's Court.
Motion by Councilman H. G. .Bishop seconded. by Councilman Barney
Shull that the bills be approved for payment. Dlotion carried.
Motion by Councilman Sam Box seconded ,by Councilman Ed Bishop
that City ask for bids on load of gas pipe. Motion carried.

It was duly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn.
