HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-09-1973 Regular MeetingState of Alabama County of Baldwin The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the City of Fairhope Administration Building 387 Fairhope Avenue at 7s00 P.M. on -July 99 1973 with the following members presents Mayor James'P, Nix, Counoilmens David (Ed) Bishop, H.G. Bishop, Sam E. Boa, 011ie L. Deese and Barney L. Shull. Minutes'of previous regular meeting were approved. Motion by Councilman H.G. Bishop seconded by Councilman Ed Bishop that Ordinance #510 introduced at the regu- lar meeting of June 11, 19?3, be adopted as introduced. Councilman Box moved that the motion be tabled for further study. Councilman H.G. Bishop then withdrew his motion and seconded motion to table. Upon being put to vote, the vote was unanimously oarried.. Motion by Councilman Box seconded by Councilman Shull that request for.Beer Permit at the Lucky Spot in the name of Anderson Quai.tes Jr. be denied. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Barney Shull that the Recreation Board be authorized to contribute $500.00,to.Zoonomio Region 8 Sr, Citizens day to be held in Robertsdale, money to be refunded to Recreation Board from -Revenue Sharing Funds. Motion seconded by Councilman H.G.{ Bishop, Sam Box, 011ie Deese and Barney Shull. Againsts Councilman Ed Bishop. .Motion carried. Motion by Councilman H.G. Bishop seconded.by Councilman Sam Box that the following Resolution be adopteds Motion carried. Be it resolved that the Position Classification Plan prepared by Alabama State•Personnel Dept* for the City of.Fairhope submitted in June, 1973 be adopted as presented,. and all wage schedules contained therein to become effective on the first pay date in August, 1973• Mayor Nix expressed the Ci.ty's appreciation to Mrs. Sam Box for her paintings exhibited in the City Administration Building: Motion by-Councilman,H.G, Bishop seconded by Councilman Shull that bills be approved for payment,. Motion by Councilman Shull seconded by Councilman H.G. Bishop that final bill of M.C. Williams, pontractor be approved for payment subject to certain areas on F'hope Ave -being fixed. Motion carried. Letter from F.S.T.Co concerning area exempt from City taxes was read and tabled for further information. It was duly moved, seconded grid adjourn. Approved Attests.. . �. _................ w w.
