COUNTY OF BALDWIN
The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session
at the City Hall, Monday, August 11, 1969 at 7:30 P.M., with the
following members present: Mayor R. C. Macon, Councilmen: H. G.
Bishop, Robert H. Cowen, John A. Robertson and Sam E. Box. Counc:
man James P. Nix absent.
Minutes of previous regular and special meetings were approved.
Motion by Councilman Bishop seconded by Councilman Box that the
Mayor ,be authorized to negotiate contract with TelArompTer Corp.,
for T. U. cable franchise subject to opinion of the City Attorney
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Robertson seconded by Councilman Cowen that
the City match funds up to $19000.00 with the Chamber of Com-
merce for Christmas Decorations. Motion carried.
Motion by. Councilman Box seconded by Councilman Bishop that the
City appropriate a sum not to exceed $59000.00 to continue im-
provements at Fly Creek Commercial Fishermans Wharf for additiona:
boat stalls as presented by Mr. Huet of the Harbor Board. Motion
carried.
Motion by; -,Councilman Box seconded by Councilman Robertson that
Council accept Mr. George Dyson's recommendation and run sewer
line 150' east on Gayfer Street from Section Street at an ap-
proximate cost of $250.00. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Robertson seconded by Councilman Cowen that
the following Ordinance be introduced:
ORDINANCE NO 420
An Ordinance Amending Section 13, District Boun-
daries of Zoning Ordinance No. 295.
BE IT ORDAINED By the City Council of the City of Fairhopf
Alabama that Section 13, of Zoning Ordinance No. 295 be amended b,
rezoning the following described property from R-1 to R-3 as re-
commended by the Planning and Zoning Commission:
Lots 15 and 16, Block 3, Central Park Addition.
Motion by Councilman Box seconded by Councilman Cowen that final
bill of Harrington Construction Corp., in the amount of $5,021.35
for Utility Relocation of I-10 be approved for payment. Motion
carried.
Motion by Councilman Robertson seconded by Councilman Cowen that
the bills be approved for payment. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Box seconded by Councilman Cowen that the
meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
