The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in special sessiol
t the City Hall, Saturday, April 12, 1969 at 8:00 A.M. with the
llowing members present: Mayor Macon, Councilmen: Nix, Cowen,
Bishop, Robertson and Box. Each member signed waive of notice of
the calling of a special meeting.
The Mayor stated that the purpose of the meeting was to take
action on Bids for operation of the Fairhope Marina and Pier.
Motion by Councilman Bishop seconded by Councilman Nix that
the Harbor Board of the City shall have the right to make an
inspection of the entire operation of the Marina at any time said
Board may deem necessary; that the Harbor Board may make recommen-
dations, rules and/or recommendations as may be required covering
the operation of all these facilities by the Tenant, to protect
the health, welfare and general environment of the City of Fair -
hope. Motion carried.
The following Bid Appraisal was presented:

*Bay Nautical proposed that the City pay
insurance, estimated insurance cost 9550,00,
which is to be subtracted from the $2,800.00
leaving a total of $2,250.00 for Bay Nautical.
Motion by Councilman Box seconded by Councilman Bishop that
the City accept bid of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace W. Milham for operatior
of the Snack Bar and Marina on the new Municipal Pier. Upon being
put to vote the following vote was recorded: Voting For: Council-
men Box, Bishop and Nix. Voting Against: Councilmen Robertson and
Cowen. Motion carried.
It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn.
