The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in special session
at the City Hall, Monday, January 29, 1968 at 5:00 P.M. Each
member present signed waive of notice of the calling and holding
of a special meeting. Members present: Mayor Macon, Councilmen:
Reynolds, Stipes, Gaston and Stine. Councilman Spader being absent
Mayor Macon stated that the purpose of the meeting was for the
passing of Resolutions on Municipal Pier Project, 01-000-15 and
01-000-16, and action on utility adjustments made necessary by
construction of Interstate Ten (I-10).
Motion by Councilman Reynolds seconded by Councilman Stipes that
the following Resolution be adopted. Motion carried.
RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA that the proposal of Mr. F. F. Escoffier for wave and beacl
study in the amount of $1,000.00 be accepted for Beach and Pier
Project #01-000-16.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proposal of Dixie Laboratories
Inc. for below water soils testing in the approximate amount
of $2820.00 as per their agreement, be accepted for Beach and Pier
Project #01-000-16.
Motion by Councilman Stipes seconded by Councilman Gaston that
the Mayor be authorized to execute agreement with State of Alabama.
Department of Conservation, for Projects Nos. 01-000-15 and
01-000-16. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Gaston seconded by Councilman Stipes that
the following Resolution be adopted. Motion carried.
RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA that Byrd L. Moore and Co., Inc. be authorized to proceed
with Utility Adjustment made necessary by construction of Inter-
state Ten (I—=10) .
Motion by Councilman Gaston seconded by Councilman Stine that the
meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
