HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-08-1968 Regular MeetingSTATE OF ALABAMA COUNTY OF BALDWIN The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the City Hall, Monday, January 8, 1968 at 7:30 p.m., with the following members present: Mayor Macon, Councilman: Spader, Reynolds, Stipes, Gaston and Stine. Minutes of previous regular meeting were approved. Motion by Councilman Reynolds seconded by Councilman Stine that the Council discontinue publishing minutes of their meetings -due to cost of printing.Eopies of minutes will be available at City Hall for those who desire same. Upon being put to a vote the fol- lowing vote was recorded: For, Councilman Reynolds, Stine and Spader. Against: Mayor Macon and Councilmen Gaston and Stipes. The vote creating a tie, Mayor Macon cast a second vote against the motion to break the tie. Motion defeated. Motion by Councilman Gaston, seconded by Councilman Reynolds that the bills be approved for payment. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Stipes seconded by Councilman Spader that the City run 8" ii sewer line approximately 160' on Lincoln Street. Mr. Brister to pay cost of 4" line. Motion carried. Council agreed ro run 6" water line on Gayfer extension East to City Cimits. Councilman Stipes requested that the City Council meet on Monday January 159 1968 with members of the Chamber of Commerce and the Planning Board to discuss four lane Highway from "Y" into City. It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn in un- adjourned session to meet on Monday, January 15, 1968 at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall. Motion carried. APPROVED G2�� .
